Czech

Our Czech breakfast plate featured two kinds of chlebíček open sandwiches, with fish and potato salad, alongside bramboračka, a traditional vegetable soup, and bábovka, a cake often baked at home. We also offered Czech sides and drinks, including the much-loved Pilsner Urquell beer, fried cheese that pairs beautifully with beer, and ovocné knedlíky, boiled dumplings filled with strawberries.

The Czech Republic is a landlocked Central European country bordered by Germany, Poland, Slovakia and Austria, earning it the name the heart of Europe. It has a strong industrial economy, including automobile manufacturing. Its capital, Prague, with a population of around 1.3 million and beautifully preserved medieval streets, is Europe's fourth most visited city after London, Paris and Rome. From 1918 to 1992 it formed part of Czechoslovakia, before separating peacefully from Slovakia in 1993.
